Rebecca F. Grossman announced as new CEO of The Scottsdale Area Association of REALTORS®

(August 2, 2011) SAAR President Paula Serven announced the hiring of Rebecca F. Grossman, RCE, as the next CEO of the Scottsdale Area Association of REALTORS® effective October 1, 2011.  Ms. Grossman will succeed Robert W. Peirce, Jr., who has been the SAAR CEO for the past seventeen years.  Mr. Peirce will be retiring at the end of 2011.

Ms. Grossman comes to us from the Virginia Peninsula Association of REALTORS® where she has been the CEO for the past seventeen years.  She was also the Executive Director of the Peninsula Real Estate School during that time. She is recognized as a skilled communicator, instructor, and leader in the Association Executive ranks.

Most recently, Ms. Grossman was the recipient of the prestigious “Dr. Almon ‘Bud’ Smith Leadership Society” award that recognizes association executives who have contributed to the overall excellence of the industry.  She is the past chairperson of the NAR Association Executives Sub-Committee, and has been a member of the Real Estate Information Network (REIN) Managers Council since 1998.

In addition to her professional accomplishments, Rebecca has also been very involved in her community serving as a Director for the Virginia Peninsula Chamber of Commerce since 2008, a Commissioner of the Hampton Housing and Redevelopment Authority in 2007-08, a Langley Civic Leaders Association Member since 2008, and a member of the Hampton Bay Days Committee since 2004.
